Tadeusz Czesław Malinowski (born in April 8, 1932 in Poznań) – a Polish scientist, archaeologist, specialising in Bronze Age and early Iron Age. == Life == Son of Czesława Malinowska (born Brożek) and Czesław Pobóg Malinowski, brother to Andrzej Malinowski, a Polish anthropologist. As a kid he witnessed the Second World War and after the escape of his father to the United Kingdom and the arrest of his mother through Gestapo he lived during occupation through Nazi-Germany with his wider family in Radom and Lublin.〔Wojciech Dzieduszycki: Opuscula Archaeologica – Opera Dedicata in Professorem Thaddeum Malinowski. ISBN 978-83-7481-073-9.〕 He finished archaeology studies at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań in 1955, where he received his doctoral title (1960) and his habilitation (1969). In 1980 he received the title of a professor. His main teachers were: Józef Kostrzewski, Witold Hensel and Eugeniusz Frankowski. While receiving his doctoral title, he had written already 47 scientific publications.〔 In the years 1950–1975 he worked in the Museum of Archaeology in Poznań, and later, until 1993, he was a professor at the Higher Pedagogical School in Słupsk, then, until 2002 he taught at the University of Zielona Gora. In the years 1973–1974 he lectured in the Department of Archaeology at the University of Lodz, in the years 1979–1980 he taught at the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń and in the years 2002–2004 at the School of Social Skills in Poznań.〔 He has participated in numerous archaeological excavations in the region of Greater Poland and beyond. Among other things, he participated in the research team of the early settlement in Saint-Jean-le-Froid in the department of Aveyron, France. He has also conducted studies on the fortified settlements from the early Iron Age in Słupca, in Smuszew, of Wągrowiec area and in Komorowo in Szamotuły area. In addition he worked on the late medieval cemetery located on the top of the hill Rowokół in Smołdzin (Słupsk area). (2014-12-20 )〕 After retiring his extensive collection of books (several thousand volumes), illustrative material (photographs and drawings), and slides were purchased by the University of Rzeszów for the local Institute of Archaeology.
